This Privacy Policy describes how RecallPath ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our Android application. RecallPath is an offline flashcard and spaced repetition study app.

Import and export use the Android system file picker (Storage Access Framework). You choose the file location; the app accesses only the file you select for that action.
Some Android system libraries included with the app (for example, local background task scheduling) may add standard device permissions to the installed application package, such as wake lock or network state access. RecallPath does not use these permissions to collect or transmit your personal data, and the app does not perform network requests for its core functionality.

If you export a backup file, you control where that file is saved or shared. Any sharing after export is outside the app and under your control.
Listening mode uses your device's built-in text-to-speech (TTS) engine to read card text aloud. RecallPath does not record your voice and does not send audio to us. TTS processing is handled by your device or the TTS provider configured in your system settings.
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. You can delete all app data at any time from Settings → Data & Backup → Clear all data.
Android automatic backup for RecallPath is disabled (allowBackup=false). To move data
to another device, use Export all data and Import backup in Settings.
Data is stored in the app's private local storage on your device. Protection at rest depends on your device's operating system security (such as device encryption and screen lock). RecallPath does not transmit your study data over the internet.
RecallPath is a general study tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information on our servers, no child-specific data is transmitted to us.
Because RecallPath operates offline and does not transfer your study data to our servers, your information generally remains on your device in your country of use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
